With so many dog training leads on the market, it is often difficult to decide which will best suit you circumstances and dog. Often the lead is as important as good dog training collars.
A standard lead is quite acceptable for dog training but can be fairly restrictive as they are usually quite short and don’t allow the dog much room to move.
The best by far if you want to train is a proper training lead. These come in either leather or material. Leather is preferred as they don’t wear out and don’t burn your hands when they try make a break for it. A training lead has clips so they can be easily extended when you want to practice recalls or just give you dog a bit more freedom while practicing exercises.
Both of the above style of lead can be used with your collar of choice or which ever your dog training club might recommend.
